Account information
MonDak supports optional email-and-password accounts through Supabase Auth. If you create an account, the following may be processed:
- Email address, used as the login identifier
- Authentication credentials handled by Supabase Auth. Blue Collar Research LLC does not store your password in plain text in the app.
- A user identifier (UUID) assigned by the authentication service
- Session and account information needed to keep you signed in, including a session stored on the device
Current versions of MonDak do not collect a name, phone number, postal address, display name, or profile photo during registration.
Location
MonDak accesses precise foreground location so the app can provide functions such as:
- Navigation and turn-by-turn guidance
- Determining nearby wells
- Route-related features
- Weather lookup based on your position
- Field-report and related map locations
Some location information may be transmitted to the services that provide those functions, including mapping, routing, weather, and backend services described in this policy. Current versions of the app request when-in-use / foreground location. They do not request background (“always”) location permission.
Field reports and community content
If you submit a field report or community map pin, the information may include:
- Report or pin text, labels, and descriptions
- Coordinates
- Timestamps where the system records them
- Optional road, location, well, or related labels
- Report-related user association where an account is in use
Field reports are currently submitted with an anonymous display flag in the app interface. That display choice does not necessarily mean Blue Collar Research LLC cannot associate a report internally with an account. If you are signed in, a report may still be linked to your user identifier on the backend even if other users do not see that identifier.
Field reports are community information and may be visible to other users of the app. Current versions of MonDak do not attach photos or voice recordings to field reports.
Optional route learning
If you are signed in and enable the relevant route-learning feature and consent, MonDak may upload GPS traces and related navigation events from active navigation so the service can work on approach and route-learning features. This is optional. Turning the feature off stops future recording. Current versions of the app do not automatically delete previously uploaded traces when the setting is turned off.
Local device data
MonDak also stores information on the device, including items such as favorites, recent wells, settings, vehicle profiles, private pins, weather cache, and other offline or cached information used to operate the app. Private pins remain on the device. Favorites and recents are stored locally as well identifiers and visit history, not as a continuous GPS breadcrumb.
If you use the operating-system share sheet, the destination you choose may receive the well, pin, report, or location information you share.
